England-Cameroon: Round of 16, Valenciennes, 17:30

Team Reporter analysis

Laure James (ENG) England go into the knockout stage with a 100 per cent record at France 2019, giving the Lionesses enhanced self-belief ahead of facing Cameroon - and their most physical examination yet. With three goals so far, all scored with her left foot, Ellen White may have done enough to keep her place in the starting XI, while Millie Bright and Jade Moore could offer a added resilience to combat the strength and athleticism of the Cameroonians.

Cynthia Nzetia (CMR) "We are afraid of no-one," declared coach Djeumfa at Cameroon's post-match press conference in the wake of that dramatic win over New Zealand. That fearlessness will be put to the test, with England offering extremely tough opposition. But the Indomitable Lionesses at least proved that they have the mindset required when the stakes are high.

France-Brazil: Round of 16, Le Havre, 21:00

Emma Hingant (FRA) France have had one more day to rest than their last 16 opponents. They might need that given that Brazil are the undoubtedly the best of the third-place teams, having won two matches in the group phase. Les Bleues can't wait to play Marta - "a great opponent" according to Griedge Mbock - and there are fond memories here of France vs Brazil games, in both men and women's football. With three wins and five draws in eight meetings, France have never lost against A Seleção. Current manager Corinne Diacre, who captained France in the only Women's World Cup game between the two - a 1-1 draw in 2003, will be desperate for that run to continue.

Giancarlo Giampietro (BRA) Brazil don’t have time to lament any missed opportunities from the group phase, having missed their chance to top Group C. Now it’s about embracing the challenge of taking on the hosts, rising to the occasion and savouring what is sure to be a superb atmosphere. Vadão’s squad must replicate their great performance in the second half against Italy: they need to win the ball, play a savvy possession game and try to dampen the spirits of the French fans.
