A stadium with a proud footballing tradition, the Sapporo Dome hosted football's premiere event in 2002, the FIFA World Cup™. The stadium is the home of J1 League club Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo and will be used exclusively for football at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games. The dome-shaped stadium is located in Sapporo City in Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido.
