'Fenrir', the FIFA talent from Malaysia

  • The first Malaysian player to compete in a FUT Champions Cup

  • The community story of Muhammad Luqman Haziq 'Fenrir' Hajiman

After his surprise qualification for the FUT Champions Cup in Barcelona in January 2018, Muhammad Luqman Haziq 'Fenrir' Hajiman qualified again this season and will be among the competitors at the FUT Champions Cup in March 2019.

‘Fenrir’ is currently in the top 300 of the PlayStation FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings and has notched up several remarkable results since he began playing FIFA professionally in 2018. The 22-year-old has been playing for the GamesBond eSports team since last year as he continues his studies.

In addition to qualifying for the FUT Champions Cups, ‘Fenrir’ has also impressed at several regional tournaments and is one of the best FIFA players in Malaysia. As if that were not enough, he won the Malaysian Esports League 2018, the Selangor Cyber Games 2019 and was runner-up at the Malaysian Cyber Games 2018.

Another highlight of his past year was meeting Malaysia’s minister for youth and sport and competing alongside the minister in a FIFA tournament with other well-known personalities.

Last year’s winner of the ‘Golden Ticket’ for the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018 also hailed from Malaysia, a country whose eFootball scene is going from strength to strength.

No Malaysian player has yet managed to win an international eFootball title – perhaps ‘Fenrir’ can change that at an upcoming tournament. Thank you for sharing your story! #FIFAisLimitless
