Players to watch:

'EpokSnusFC' Having successfully qualified for the Continental Cup 2018, August Rosenmeier has also secured his place at the second tournament of the 2019 Global Series. The 2014 champion and six-time Grand Finalist is one of the title favourites.

'Joksan--' The American had no trouble living with his underdog tag, putting in an impressive showing at the Continental Cup 2018 to win the first title of the season. Can the newcomer perform at the second competition as well?

'nicolas99fc' The Argentinian is one of the most feared players on the eWorld Cup circuit. He had a rock-solid defence throughout last season and progressed to the knockout rounds at the FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final 2018.

'TheStrxngeR' After two consecutive Grand Final appearances, the FC Basel player has enjoyed a successful start to the current season and was runner-up at this year's Continental Cup. Alongside his team-mate 'nicolas99f', he is one of the contenders to win the title.

'HUGE G0RILLA' The 2017 champion is one of the scene's most consistent players, as emphasised by Koen Weijland in his interview with FIFA.com. The FUT Champions Cup will be the first tournament of the new campaign for the Englishman.

'F2Tekkz' The wonderkid triumphed at last year's FUT Champions Cup in Barcelona, just one of the reasons why he is among the favourites to succeed this time as well.

'M10 Resende' The Brazilian, who qualified for the 2018 Grand Final, becomes the first player to represent Mesut Ozil's new eFootball team at a tournament. Pedro Resende has been impressive so far this season, performing superbly in the Weekend League.

'MegaBit98' The two-time Grand Finalist has enjoyed a successful start to the new campaign, qualifying for the FUT Champions Cup and putting in numerous dominant displays in the Weekend League. His experience and consistency make him one of the title contenders.
