Next week on FIFA.com

**

Excitement levels among fans of African football are at fever pitch and will remain so all the way through to 5 February. The reason? The 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations, which is now up and running. Naturally, FIFA.com will be bringing you regular updates from the tournament, the winners of which will represent the continent at the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 from 17 June to 2 July. We will be rounding up the notable action and what we have learned after every matchday in Gabon, as well as highlighting the event's most eye-catching performers.

Another major competition slowly but surely drawing closer is the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™. This is a good excuse to look back at previous editions, such as Italy 1990, where Argentina's Sergio Goycocheaearned himself legendary status for posterity with his penalty-saving heroics. FIFA.com will be reminiscing on these exploits on Monday before turning our attention to the enthusiastic Russia 2017 and 2018 volunteers the following day. The week will close with a look at St Petersburg, more specifically, we will focus on the local cuisine in one of Russia's most culturally important cities.

Women's football is also well represented on this week's menu. On Tuesday, we delve in to the world of club football in the women's game, with our regular monthly review.

The above is just a taster of what is headed your way on FIFA.com in the next few days. You will also find all the latest FIFA news, our usual batch of exclusive interviews, videos and photos, and your favourite regular features. Have a fantastic week full of football.
