Changes in Germany

Another German footballer has entered the FIFA e-sports market, with Bernd Leno recruiting five players to compete in his new team in the new season.

By way of contrast, VfL Wolfsburg - one of the veterans of the FIFA e-sports scene in Germany – have restructured their line-up. Benedikt Saltzer has extended his stay at the club, but 'Timox' has now joined B360.

Elsewhere, St. Pauli signed up Tom Kost and Noah Maurice Itgen, while 'Gotzery' moved to Darmstadt.

2016 Final Showdown duo part ways

Al-Bacha and Sean Allen both played for Christian Fuchs' side last season, but the former has now switched to FC Nordsjaelland and the latter to Galacticans United. The duo went head-to-head in the Final Showdown in 2016, which Denmark's Al-Bacha eventually won.

Big-name free agents

Two of the best and most well-known FIFA players in the world, ‘Msdossary’ and ‘Tekkz', are currently still without a club. The 2018 world champion has left Rogue after two highly successful years, while Englishman 'Tekkz' has also parted company with his team after a similar period of time. Brazilian gamer Rafael Fortes has left PSG eSports and is likewise a free agent at present.

Fresh faces at football clubs

E-Sports departments at a number of football clubs announced the arrivals of several new players. LOSC Lille recruited a top-class pairing in Stefano Pinna and 'RayZiaaH'; Zelonius will be both player and coach at AS Roma; and 'Senna' and 'Guigonzc' have penned deals at Cruzeiro.

Changes at FC Basel

'ItsLubo' recently extended his stay at Basel, but the departure of 'TheStrxnger' to SK Gaming means the Swiss club have lost a hugely consistent player.

Hashtag United, a football and e-sports club in England, have brought a third player into the fold alongside 'HashtagHarry' and ‘HashtagShawrey’ by signing up Tom Leese, a newcomer last year who represented England at the inaugural FIFA eNations Cup.
