Munich delivers its verdict

  • Season 3 Europe Regional Final reached its conclusion on Thursday

  • Some 50 gamers faced off over five days in Munich

  • Ten of them have qualified for the FIWC Grand Final in London

We now know the identity of 18 of the 32 gamers who will line up at the 2017 FIFA Interactive World Cup** **Grand Final in London. With eight qualifiers having emerged from Seasons 1 and 2 at the FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Championship Final in Berlin, a further ten booked their seats for London at the five-day Season 3 Europe Regional Final in Munich.

DAY 1 *Qualifiers *Hashtag Tass - UK (Xbox One) TonyKokNL - The Netherlands (PlayStation 4)

The story Having struggled through the group phase, “Hashtag Tass”, the winner of the Season 1 Regional Final, swept past “PSG Daxe” in the semi-final before defeating “S04 Tim Latka” in the Xbox final.

DAY 2 *Qualifiers *xL_Ryan - UK  (Xbox One) Timon - Russia (PlayStation 4)

The story A last-minute qualifier, Russia’s “Timon” backed up his fine showing at the FIFA World Football Museum ten days earlier.

DAY 3 *Qualifiers *Thee Bullock - UK (Xbox One) Prinsipe - Italy (PlayStation 4)

The story A veteran of the FIFA scene, “Thee Bullock” is finally set to get his first taste of the FIWC experience, while “Prinsipe” showed that his Berlin slip-up was nothing more than that and that his Madrid triumph was no fluke.

DAY 4 *Qualifiers *AFC Ajax Dani - The Netherlands (Xbox One) Deto - Germany (PlayStation 4)

The story It was a case of third time lucky for Dutch national FIFA 17 champion “AFC Ajax Dani”, who missed out on a berth in London at the Season 1 and 2 Regional Finals but made sure of his place this time around.

DAY 5 *Qualifiers *CodyDerFinisher - Germany (Xbox One) Mo_Aubameyang - Germany (PlayStation 4)

The story With a total of 13, Germany had more players than any other country in Munich, though only “Deto” had booked his place in London before a final day on which local gamers excelled.
