After months of events, exciting matches, countless surprises and new star players, the top 128 players have been locked into the FIFA 19 Global Series rankings. The best 60 on each platform in the world list plus the winners of four wild cards per platform will battle it out in the play-offs to secure a top-16 spot in the rankings and qualify for the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019.

Some players are virtually ensured a top-16 berth which will guarantee them qualification for the FIFA eWorld Cup, but almost everyone involved will be fighting to secure their seeding for the groups at the tournament as well as for the prize money on offer.

The Englishman is a permanent fixture atop the rankings, so the play-offs will primarily be about prize money and prestige for him. He will also be hoping to lay down a marker ahead of the main event should he come up against his big rival 'Msdossary'.

The stats

12,185 – The largest points haul ahead of the play-offs was garnered by 'F2Tekkz' who is head and shoulders above the competition in first place in the rankings. By way of comparison, second-placed 'Nicolas99FC' is 4,215 points adrift of the Englishman.

36 - 'LOSC Crafty’ leapt up a total of 36 places in the rankings as the season drew to a close to take 54th spot and book a play-off ticket.

666 – The number of points which 'Felipe Abd’ has to his name in the Xbox rankings, which was the lowest tally of any of the players who qualified for the play-offs.

885 – Ironically therefore, former Grand Finalist 'TonyKokNL' missed out on play-off qualification despite having no fewer than 885 points. This is the highest Global Series Points score that has not resulted in an appearance at the play-offs.

14 – 'F2Tekkz' appeared at an incredible 14 of the FIFA 19 Global Series events, even though he did not take part in each individual qualification due to time constraints.

4 – A total of four Germans are in the top 10 of each platform, with the country that won the FIFA World Cup™ in 2014 also home to the most eFootballers in the top 10. France, the Netherlands, Portugal and USA are next up, each with two players.

Last-gasp dash for the top 60

While some players had their play-off tickets booked long ago, others only made it into the top 60 in the rankings in the closing weeks of the season.

'VTP Rodrig_1401’ shot up seven places in the last week to qualify for the play-offs, as was the case with 'Tsakt', who took part in a total of three FUT Champions Cup events and also made up seven spots just before the table was updated for the last time.

'Minox7' meanwhile, who appeared at the FUT Champions Cup in December and the Gfinity FIFA Series in January, made up 14 places via the eLigue 1 to get the points he so desperately needed.

Mexican FIFA eNations Cup participant 'VillaMore3' used the PS4 tournament on home soil to get the points he required to move up seven spots and make a successful last-minute bid for qualification.

After the Xbox play-offs, being held 5–7 July in Hamburg, it will be the turn of the PlayStation play-offs from 12–14 July in Berlin, with 16 players on each platform qualifying for the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019.
