England beat arch-rivals Scotland for final European qualifying berth
England, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain have qualified for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after securing their spots through this year’s UEFA Women’s U-19 Championship.
They join hosts France and Oceania qualifiers New Zealand in assuring their places at France 2018 after successfully negotiating their way through the qualifying tournament at Northern Ireland 2017.
Three-time champions Germany will be making a ninth trip to a U-20 Women’s World Cup, England qualify for their fifth U-20 Women's World Cup and Spain will make their third appearance at the world finals. For the Netherlands, this is a first-ever qualification on the global stage at this age group.
Next year’s U-20 Women's World Cup will take place in France from 7 to 26 August 2018.
