The Technical Study Group (TSG) has published its report on the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 and, for the first time ever their video analysis will be available to view online. The tournament was won by England after a thrilling 5-2 victory in the final against Spain. There was plenty for the TSG to analyse with 183 goals, the most of any U-17 World Cup edition which was watched by record attendances totalling 1.35 million spectators across the country.

The FIFA Coaching & Player Development Department is responsible for supporting and continuing the development and education of coaches and players from all over the world and the sharing of the TSG's detailed video analysis is in line with this remit.

“Our goal in putting the video analysis online for the first time was to make it inclusive and not exclusive," said Branimir Ujevic, FIFA Head of Coaching and Player Development. "We wanted it to be available and easily accessible to youth coaches around the world to help them further develop their players.

"The re-structured TSG report has evolved to provide more insights and knowledge transfer of coaching experience with the in-depth interviews conducted with the semi-finalists coaches.”

The TSG has monitored matches at international tournaments and identified the latest footballing trends since the 1966 FIFA World Cup™ in England. The 52 matches of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 were analysed to transfer the expertise of the TSG into coach and player development.

The aim of these educational clips is to help FIFA's 211 member associations and all other stakeholders to make their own contribution to the further development of the game. These sequences are a reflection of the level of play that was observed at the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 and will support coaches in their approach to developing players who are striving to reach the highest level in football.
