Which players caught your eye? Cast your vote now

Of the 52 games at the FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019™, 36 have now been played and you've voted more than 75,000 times for the Player of the Match presented by Visa which has been awarded after every match. French defender Wendie Renard has already won it twice and is even in the running for the top scorer's crown with three goals so far. Germany midfielder has Sara Dabritz also impressed viewers to take the award on two occasions.

Australia forward Sam Kerr wrote her name into the record books with a four-goal haul against Jamaica, making her a more than worthy winner of the Player of the Match honour in that game. USA striker Alex Morgan managed to go one better against Thailand, finding the net five times and likewise earning the majority of your votes. By the way, only the Chilean goalkeeper Christiane Endler received more votes than Morgan during the match against the USA.

With the group stage now over, we enter the decisive phase of the tournament: the knockout rounds!

After a round of 16 match on Monday 24 June, Abby Wambach will present the trophy to the Player of the Match. The record holder for most international goals scored and FIFA Women's World Cup winner with USA at Canada 2015 is an example for women who are committed to empowering other women and belongs to a select circle of Visa representatives - which consists of inspiring athletes, local dignitaries and Nobel Prize winners.

"It’s inspiring to see so many women in this World Cup strive for excellence on the field and at the same time fight for equality for the benefit of women everywhere," Wambach said. "While I’m here watching the games, I'm excited to present Visa’s Player of the Match award to show my support. The more we empower women by acknowledging their greatness, their individual accomplishments and their collective contributions, the better off we’ll be. I hope that young girls see these players and use it as fuel to follow their passion and grant themselves permission to do what they want and even encourage others to do the same."

In these all-or-nothing encounters, matters could be decided by players with that extra-special ability to change games single-handedly. You still have 16 more chances to determine who deserves to take home a Player of the Match presented by Visa trophy.

Voting could not be easier. You can have your say with just a click either in the Live Blog on FIFA.com or in the official FIFA app (available in the App Store and on Google Play).
