The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ is getting closer - 96 days to go!
In less than four months – on 14 June, to be precise – the 21st FIFA World Cup™ kicks off at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium, as the hosts take on Saudi Arabia.
That leaves us plenty of time to enjoy a countdown. Between now and the start of the World Cup, we will take a closer look at a different statistic from the history of the tournament each day.
96 – The number of Brazilian players who can call themselves world champions. Among the many players to have celebrated one of A Seleção’s five World Cup wins is Cafu, who captained the side to glory in 2002. The former defender is also Brazil’s most-capped World Cup player, with 20 matches to his name, ahead of fellow world champions Ronaldo (19 games), Claudio Taffarel, and USA 1994 skipper Dunga (both 18).
