After voting was opened for The Best FIFA Football Awards™ on Friday 4 November, over 300,000 valid votes were registered in the opening weekend for The Best FIFA Men's Player, Women's Player, Men's Coach and Women's Coach Awards by fans wanting to make their voices heard.
The historic process, which sees fans' votes count for 25 per cent of the total - making their choices alongside national coaches, their team captains and a select group of media - has seen fans flock to *FIFA.com *to pick The Best from the group of 53 players and coaches.
There are still more than two weeks for fans to register their vote, and decide which of football's elite will make the final three in their field, and ultimately wear the crown on Monday 9 January. Voting is open until midnight CET on Tuesday 22 November and the allocation is the same as for the captains, coaches and media: five (5) points for your first choice, three (3) points for your second and one (1) point for the third choice.
The voting process, as explained in the rules of allocation, sees the vote split equally between the four groups. Each group's votes are counted, converted into a percentage and divided by four - meaning that however many more thousands of votes are cast by fans across the globe, their contribution will still make up a quarter of the total.
Fans wishing to vote for these four particular awards need to register as a FIFA.com Club member, in order to join the thousands of members who have cast their vote so far.
Don't delay, the clock is ticking! Vote for The Best today:
Fans will also have an opportunity to have their say when voting opens for the FIFA Puskás Award and FIFA Fan Award soon. Stay tuned to FIFA.com, Facebook *and Twitter* for more information on these - and indeed all of - The Best FIFA Football Awards.
