Gianni Infantino attends UAE v Australia play-off match

FIFA President Gianni Infantino attended the play-off match between United Arab Emirates and Australia in Doha and met the President and Chief Executive Officer of the respective member associations.

Australia won the match 2-1 at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Doha, Qatar, and will face Peru in the intercontinental play-off at the same venue on Monday June 13, for a place at the FIFA World Cup 2022™. During the evening, the FIFA President met with Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the United Arab Emirates Football Association. He also greeted James Johnson, the CEO of Football Australia, and Tim Cahill, a FIFA Legend and former Australia forward who played at four FIFA World Cup tournaments.
