Five-goal Gori leads Azzurri into quarter-finals

It was Gabriele Gori's show once again at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup as Italy sealed their place in the quarter-finals with a comfortable 6-2 win over Mexico. Gori, who put on a finishing masterclass, now has a healthy lead at the top of the adidas Golden Scorer race with 13 goals after just three matches.

Gori’s third and fourth goals were the standouts—a superb bicycle kick hit first time from goalkeeper Simone Del Mestre’s toss and a calm finish at the end of a brilliant piece of build-up play throughout the entire Italian team on the sand.

Mexico found a way on the board with two goals in the third period, but their journey ends here in Paraguay 2019, while Italy live to play again.
