Morgan keeps kicking
Alex Morgan enjoyed plenty of highs in 2019, taking home adidas Silver Boot honours as the USA reigned supreme at the FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019™. This year will bring even more joy for the star forward, who's due to give birth to her first child in the spring. Even at six months pregnant, she continues her preparation for the Women's Olympic Football Tournament this summer in Tokyo. Minding mental health
If you watched any of England's FA Cup matches over the past week, you might have noticed their unusual kick-off times. The reason? Each match began a minute later to signify that all it takes is a minute to open up about mental health. The FA's Heads Up campaign brought footballers past and present together to underscore the importance of addressing the issue. Ryanstevenf got the message, delivered by everyone from Frank Lampard to Son Heungmin.
'A dream come true'
It's hard not to smile watching Sheffield Wednesday youngster Osaze Urhoghide give this interview. The 19-year-old was handed his debut against Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup and helped guide his side to a win. After the match, Osaze's excitement was infectious. Fond farewell
Laura Harvey is a one-of-a-kind manager, and few know that better than Utah Royals players and staff. The NWSL club made Harvey their first-ever head coach two seasons ago. Indomitable Lionesses claim their kingdom
Recognised by CAF as the African Women's National Team of the Year, Cameroon closed out 2019 to national acclaim. The Indomitable Lionesses marked their inaugural FIFA Women's World Cup appearance by stamping a spot in the last 16 dramatically. Mrkriss237 won't soon forget Ajara Nchout's juking solo effort against New Zealand that booked Cameron's historic passage into the knockout stage.
