Video Vault: When Morocco’s Raja defied the odds

Host club Raja Casablanca were expected to make little impact at the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup as they faced up to six continental kings. The Moroccan champions, however, exceeded all expectations and found themselves a game away from being crowned the world’s best after a series of impressive performances.

After netting an injury-time winner against Auckland City, Raja got the better of CONCACAF's champions Monterrey and Ronaldinho’s Atletico Mineiro to set up a dream finale on home soil against Bayern Munich. Though it wasn’t the fairy tale end for Raja – with Bayern recording a 2-0 win in the final – it was nonetheless a tournament to remember for the Moroccans and their passionate green-clad supporters.
