Spurs impress in Turin, City overwhelm Basel

The 2017/18 UEFA Champions League knockout stage got underway as Tottenham Hotspur visited Juventus and Basel hosted Manchester City in Round of 16 first-leg fixtures.

There was no shortage of goals as Europe's top club competition returned to action. After going down 2-0 within the first ten minutes, Tottenham bounced back and left the Juventus Stadium with a point to bring back to London as the match finished 2-2.

In Switzerland, Manchester City were in dominant form in a 4-0 victory thanks to a brace scored by Germany international midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
