Liverpool hosted Roma in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final on Tuesday evening.

In a pulsating encounter at Anfield, the Reds raced out to a five-goal lead after Mohamed Salah scored a first-half brace before Sadio Mane and a pair of goals from Roberto Firmino seemingly put Liverpool in control of the tie.

However, a late Edin Dzeko strike and a Diego Perotti penalty gave Roma a glimmer of hope for the decisive second leg in the Italian capital next week.
