As part of the continued professionalisation of the FIFA eWorld Cup, FIFA has announced that new integrity standards and anti-doping measures will be in introduced for the first time at this year’s FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final.

The new integrity and anti-doping measures introduced for the FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final 2018 will see all participants – including players and coaches - at the FIFA eWorld Cup Final 2018 sign-up to the FIFA Disciplinary Code and the FIFA Code of Ethics for the first time with the introduction of anti-doping controls and the monitoring of pre-match and live betting markets also in place for this year’s competition.

As part of its new standards that will be in place to protect the integrity of the FIFA eWorld Cup Final 2018, the FIFA Integrity Department will be implementing integrity-related measures during this year’s event. In particular and in collaboration with its integrity partners and key stakeholders, FIFA will thoroughly monitor pre-match and live betting markets around the world during the Grand Final for any match manipulation alert, incident and/or suspicion that may arise.

With participants at the FIFA eWorld Cup Final 2018 adhering to FIFA’s integrity-related provisions included in the FIFA Disciplinary Code and the FIFA Code of Ethics for the first time, the FIFA Integrity Department will coordinate closely at the tournament with the FIFA judicial bodies - the independent Ethics Committee and the Disciplinary Committee – should an incident or case arise.

Furthermore, a dedicated and experienced FIFA Doping Control Officer recently involved in the 2018 FIFA World Cup has also been appointed to oversee anti-doping controls for WADA-prohibited substances, including stimulants, during this year’s Grand Final. Anti-doping controls during this year’s competition will see players selected via random or targeted methods in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code.

Should any Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRV) occur, cases will be overseen by relevant FIFA judicial bodies in accordance with existing FIFA Anti-Doping Regulations.
