Tournament format

Group stage

Five rounds with five teams in each group – each team plays each of the others.

Each match will comprise of three games: the first game is 1v1 on PlayStation, the second is 1v1 on the Xbox, while the third is a 2v2 game. A total of nine points will therefore be available for each match with a win worth three points, a draw one point and no points for a loss.

Knock-out stage

Each match will comprise of two 1v1 games on each console, but the aggregate score will not be of importance as each game is worth three points for a win, one for a draw and none for a defeat. Should the two countries be equal on points after the first two games, a third game will be played; a 2v2 to decide the winner.

The knock-out stage will be made up of the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.

The route to the FIFA eNations Cup™

Each participating country chose their two representatives for the tournament. The countries used the FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings, selected from their current eFootball national team squad or based their decision by holding national championships of their own to narrow it down to the two best players in the country.

Prize money and Global Series Points

As well as international recognition and prize money of USD 100,000 for the teams, the players selected by their national associations for the FIFA eNations Cup 2019 have the chance to earn as many as 1,500 FIFA 19 Global Series Points, which count towards the FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings, which are crucial for qualifying for the FIFA eWorld Cup™.
