FIFA President sees Chelsea advance, Monterrey win

• FIFA President meets with FIFA Legends and FIFA Council members at FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2021™ semi-final • Romelu Lukaku fires Chelsea into FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2021™ final • Monterrey secure fifth following defeat of UAE League champions Al Jazira

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has met with FIFA Legends Didier Drogba, John Terry, Mikael Silvestre and Michel Salgado as UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea advanced to the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2021™ final by defeating AFC champions Al Hilal at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. A goal from Romelu Lukaku saw Chelsea through to Saturday's final, where they will face Palmeiras of Brazil, while Al Hilal will play Egyptian side Al Ahly beforehand, in the bronze medal match.

Earlier, the FIFA President attended the fifth-place playoff at Al Nahyan Stadium and met with Alberto Zaccheroni, the former UAE national team manager and FIFA Techical Study Group member, as Concacaf Champions League winners CF Monterrey from Mexico defeated UAE League champions Al Jazira 3-1. Also in attendance at the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2021 matches was FIFA Council Vice-President David Martin, together FIFA Council members Ramon Jeserun and Yon de Luisa.
