Blas Perez has been involved with the Panama national team since 2001 and he has been a fixture in the side ever since. Indeed, he is third in the country's all-time appearance list, including his contributions to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ qualifying campaign.
He also shares Panama's all-time top scorer's honour with fellow forward Luis Tejada. An agile striker who comes alive in the opposition penalty area, he constantly plays on the shoulder of the last defender, while his height also makes him a threat in the air.
Perez's club career has bolstered the number of stamps in his passport thanks to spells in Colombia, Mexico and the USA, among others. He enjoyed his most successful period in 2005 and 2006, twice winning the league title in Colombia.
