Video Vault: Tiki-taka triumphs in South Africa

A first for Africa. A first for Spain. In the only FIFA World Cup™ to be held in the African continent, Andres Iniesta’s 116th-minute winner against the Netherlands put La Roja into the record books, becoming the eighth team to win the global finals.

Vicente del Bosque’s side did it in style, too. With a tiki-taka philosophy embodied by Final hero Iniesta and then-Barcelona team-mate Xavi, La Roja bounced back from an opening defeat against Switzerland to clinch the Trophy in Soccer City, Johannesburg. Xavi, the heartbeat in that midfield, reflects on a stellar tournament and how the Spain side he was a part of will go down in history.
