As 22 nations fight through the final stages of a gruelling qualifying campaign to make it to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, Costa do Sauipe on the picturesque coast of Bahia is getting ready to warmly welcome the football world at the Final Draw in exactly one month, on 6 December 2013. The event, which is expected to be broadcast in 193 countries and attended by about 1,300 guests and around 2,000 media representatives, will determine the match order for the world's top 32 teams who will contest Brazil’s second FIFA World Cup from 12 June to 13 July next year.

The 90-minute live draw show (17:00 CET/13:00 local time), taking place at a specifically erected draw hall in the resort, promises a whole host of Brazil’s diverse visual and acoustic treats. It will feature, among others, Rapper Emicida from Sao Paulo, the Afro-Brazilian percussion group Olodum from Bahia, who already participated in the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup and appeared in Michael Jackson’s 1995 video They Don't Care About Us, which was recorded in Salvador, as well as one of the greatest icons for Carneval in Bahia, Margareth Menezes. Furthermore, there will be guest appearances by some of the biggest names in football.

The coaches and delegations representing all 31 visiting participating countries will gather in Brazil for the first time. This will be an initial get-together of the cast who will take centre stage in the festival of world football in Brazil next year. In this spirit, the whole show is inspired by the Official Slogan All in one rhythm, which is based on the five pillars: cohesive society, power of innovation, striking nature, living football and land of happiness. Organisers aim for the show to serve as a final curtain-raiser for fans in anticipation of football’s flagship event next June and July.

The draw will be conducted by FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke, who will be assisted during the 35-minute procedure by football icons representing the eight nations who have won the 19 editions to date.

Detailed information on the draw procedure will be released on 3 December 2013 following the meeting of the Local Organising Committee for Brazil 2014.
