31 days and 64 world-class matches later, the FIFA World Cup™ trophy has found a new home for the next four years. Many of you chose to stay with us every step of the way, taking our tough World Cup Quiz challenge, attempting to see into the future in our Castrol’s World Cup Predictor and trying to outmaneuver almost one million fellow managers in our McDonald’s FIFA World Cup Fantasy challenge.
With South Africa 2010 finally over, our remaining FIFA World Cup prizes have been claimed. FIFA.com takes a look at the last of the big winners.
Fantasy role of honour
907,921 fantasy managers battled it out for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Fantasy title. In the end, Finland’s zercy-FIN was the king of the tournament. Boasting an average of 106 points per round, he finished 30 points ahead of his closest challenger. zercy-FIN will receive a Kia Sorento for his first-class fantasy campaign.
Meanwhile, second-place runner-up Bigcdel has won a trip for two to the FIFA World Player Gala 2010. Third-place runner-up Fifo1988 finished just one point behind the No2 and will receive a national team jersey signed by an entire 2010 FIFA World Cup™ team. Our fourth-tenth place fantasy finishers will receive a piece of artwork from the FIFA 2010 World Cup™ Art & Collectables collection.
Pick of the Predictor bunch
Despite coming up short in the predictions surrounding the final match, *Croata *still finished comfortably ahead of the rest thanks to a fantastic predictor campaign. The Venezuelan Club member has won an incredible prize, which includes a four-day trip to Madrid, Spain; a skills coaching session with Cristiano Ronaldo; two tickets to watch Real Madrid play at the Bernabeu Stadium and a signed C. Ronaldo jersey.
