On Tuesday, 30 October, the FIFA Executive Committee will chart the course of the flagship competitions in men's and women's football by deciding the host nations of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ and the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. One day earlier, on Monday, 29 October, the candidate associations will have the opportunity to present their bids to the Executive Committee. Whereas Brazil is the only candidate association for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, no fewer than five associations - Australia, Canada, France, Germany and Peru - are currently in the running to host the sixth FIFA Women's World Cup. These five associations must now submit all necessary documents and guarantees by 15 October 2007.

*Submission of 2014 FIFA World Cup™ bid dossier on 31 July * On 31 July, Brazil will take the next step towards hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ by submitting its bid dossier to FIFA at its headquarters in Zurich. The Brazilian bidding committee, led by CBF President and FIFA Executive Committee member Ricardo Terra Teixeira, will showcase its bid in a 30-minute presentation before handing over the official bid documents to FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter.
