Board of directors for Supreme Committee announced

The Board of Directors for the Supreme Committee for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ has been announced by the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The Heir-Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will fulfil the role of Chairman, the Emir's Personal Representative, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani will be the Deputy Chairman and Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, the country’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will also have a seat on the board.

Other members include the Minister for Economy and Finance, Youssuf Hussein Kamal, the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning, Abdurrahman bin Khalifa bin Abdul Aziz Al-Thani and the General of the General Secretariat for Development Planning Sheikh Hamad bin Jabor bin Jassim Al Thani.

Membership on the Board of Directors will be for a renewable period of four years and is effective immediately.

The Managing Director of the Supreme Committee of Qatar 2022 is Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. He will be assisted by Hassan Abdullah Al-Thawadi, who has been appointed as Secretary-General.
