If you are a fan of outrageous skills, then FIFA.com’s Move of the Day section was designed for you. Sponsored by Powerade, it is the place to go for all the most memorable examples of top-drawer technique ever paraded at a FIFA World Cup™.

The younger ones among you will be introduced to the sparkling talents of legends such as Pele, Rivelino, Bobby Moore, Johan Cruyff and Diego Maradona, with El Pibe de oro seen at his fluent best in 1986 as he danced through England’s defence before burying the most famous goal in the history of the tournament. More contemporary skills are there for you to see as well, including the Cuauhtemiña of Mexico midfielder Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Jay-Jay Okocha’s drag-and-feint move for Nigeria, Turkey forward Ilhan Mansiz’s sombrero flick and Zinedine Zidane’s bag of tricks against Brazil in 2006.

Enjoy another look at the stunning skills on show at South Africa 2010 too, from Samuel Eto’o’s zig-zag move against Japan in the group stage to Wesley Sneijder’s superb control on the run against the same opponents. And who can forget Cristiano Ronaldo’s dribble and shot against the post when Portugal faced Côte d'Ivoire? The most gifted proponents of the game have all been captured in full flow, with their skills highlighted by graphics and slow-motion replays from several angles.

Every move is broken down, step by step, and captions explain what the player did from start to finish, giving you the chance to bamboozle defenders the next time you take to the field. So what are you waiting for? Click the link in the column on the right for more.
