Rules for the Contest

The below rules (the “Rules”) together with the Contest terms and conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the Contest.

What is the Contest? “Be There with Hyundai” on (the “Contest”) is a contest wherein participants are asked to create and submit slogans in support of the national teams which have qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.

The winning slogans – as voted for by football fans from all over the world - will be written across the relevant team buses that are used during the actual 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™!

How can I enter? Am I eligible? To enter, first you should log in to your Club account on the website at If you are not an existing member of the site, you will be required first to register providing some basic information and select a screen name.

Once you have registered and accepted the Club terms and conditions (available at and the Contest terms and conditions (available at you can access the Contest.

In order to be eligible to participate in the Contest, all participants, in addition to being a Club Member, must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as at the date of their entry into the Contest.

How many times can I enter? Each participant can participate in the Contest by submitting a slogan for any of the thirty two (32) participating national teams of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™. You can submit only one (1) slogan per team. However, you can submit a slogan for more than one team (i.e. up to thirty two (32) submissions in total). Please note that, although you may submit one (1) slogan for each of the participating teams of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™(i.e. up to thirty two (32) slogans in total), each participant may only have a maximum of one (1) slogan shortlisted for the public vote (see Contest structure below). Accordingly, a participant can only win one (1) prize.

Each individual should enter using only one Club account. If FIFA discovers that a participant with more than one account has participated in the Contest, all accounts will be removed from the Contest and all entries deemed void.

What is the Contest structure? The Contest has 3 main phases:

Phase 1 - Submit your slogans Participants may submit their slogans from 15:00 pm (CET) on 4 December 2017 until 11:00 am (CET) on 28 February 2018. Following registration, Participants will be able to submit their slogans directly through the Contest web page.

Phase 2 – Shortlisting and voting Thereafter, the slogans of ninety six (96) Contest participants, comprising three (3) slogans for each of the thirty two (32) participating national teams of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, will be shortlisted by FIFA and its nominees from all entries correctly submitted in accordance with these Rules and the Contest T&Cs. Such ninety six (96) shortlisted participants shall be referred to herein as the “Shortlisted Participants”.

All judging in this phase of the Contest will be conducted according to the procedures established by FIFA. In order to choose the Shortlisted Participants, original slogan submissions will be judged based on their originality, creativity and their ability to express the values of the team they are meant to represent. All decisions made with regard to selecting the Shortlisted Participants shall be at the absolute discretion of FIFA and its nominees and no Contest participant shall be entitled to challenge any such decisions.

Thereafter, the ninety six (96) slogans of the Shortlisted Participants will be placed on for public voting by Club Members. Voting will run from 10:00 am (CET) on 26 April 2018 until 10:00 am (CET) on 14 May 2018. Voting is only open to Club members.

Phase 3 – Conclusion of the Contest Following the conclusion of Phase 2, one (1) slogan will be chosen for each of the thirty two (32) participating national teams of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™. For each team, such will be the slogan which attracts the highest number of votes following the public vote referred to in Phase 2 (the “Slogan Winners”).

FIFA reserves the right, at any time and in its sole discretion, to vary, amend or waive any of these Rules (including any dates and/or times referenced within these Rules) for any reason whatsoever, including FIFA selecting a slogan itself, if a team refuses to accept the slogan provided. Each participant agrees that no liability shall attach to FIFA as a result thereof and that the exercise of such discretion shall not result in any compensation being payable or paid to any participant or other person. To the extent that FIFA varies, amends or waives any of these Rules (including any dates and/or times referenced within these Rules), it shall use reasonable efforts to inform all participants by way of communicating such on
What can I win?
The Contest shall result in the award of a variety of different prizes.

Slogan Winners The thirty two (32) Slogan Winners will each:

(i) have their slogan displayed on the outside of the official bus of the participating team for which they presented a winning slogan; and

(ii) receive a trip for two (2) people to watch a match at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™. Such a trip includes:

  • return economy class flights for two people to Russia from the major airport closest to the primary residence of the winner;_
    at least three (3) night’s accommodation in a four star hotel (of FIFA’s choosing) in Russia;_
    two (2) tickets to a match of FIFA’s choosing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™; and *
    the opportunity to escort the team for which they presented a winning slogan to the stadium on a tournament match day.


The sixty four (64) Shortlisted Participants who do not qualify as Slogan Winners will be awarded each of the following prizes:

(i) an adidas Telstar 18 football (the official ball of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™); and

(ii) a Hyundai Premium Set (comprising a Hyundai branded adidas cap, Hyundai branded adidas backpack and a Hyundai branded adidas Telstar 18 football).

How will I know if I have won?

FIFA will announce the winners on following the conclusion of the voting phase of the Contest. The announcement is, as at the date of writing, planned for 24 May 2018. FIFA will publish the winners’ screen name and country of residence. FIFA will also send each winner an email to which you will need to respond within five (5) days to claim the allocated prize. To the extent that FIFA is unable to contact a given winner within five (5) days, FIFA reserves the right to allocate the given prize to an alternative participant.

The prizes will only be awarded in accordance with the Contest T&Cs and these Rules of the Contest. In the unlikely event that a winner does not meet these Rules or the Contest T&Cs, another participant will be chosen to receive the prize.
