THE ROAD

TO FRANCE

La Roja qualified for their maiden Women’s World Cup as runners-up at the 2018 Copa America Femenina. The tournament hosts booked their ticket with an impressive 4-0 win over Argentina in the final round after earning 3 wins and 3 draws. Their only defeat came against tournament winners Brazil.

THE COACH

Jose Letelier

Chile's national team coach since 2015, Letelier is a former goalkeeper, who won the Copa Libertadores title with Colo-Colo back in 1991. He then took the helm of his former club's women's side in 2010 and won 10 straight domestic titles, as well as the Copa Libertadores Femenina in 2012.

THE STAR

Christiane Endler

With a natural talent for sports, Endler was 15 when she first appeared in goal with the national team. Her size (180 cm), skills and reflexes confirmed her as a top goalkeeper. Currently at Paris Saint-Germain in France, she is the captain of La Roja.
