The 26-year-old cut her teeth as a youngster with SC Freiburg but moved to FC Bayern in 2018. She made her way up through the various age groups for Germany and in 2009 won the U-17 European Championships, before going to two FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups (in 2010 when Germany won, although she did not make an appearance) and 2012, when they were defeated finalists and she was the undisputed number one, winning the Golden Glove. Since moving up to the senior team however, she has always found herself on the bench.
