Debinha’s brief youth career was proof of her natural attacking talent. The forward represented her country at the U-20 Women’s World Cup in 2010 and won her maiden senior cap the following year. She appeared at Rio 2016 and has enjoyed success in the Norwegian and Chinese leagues. Since 2017 she has been plying her trade in the NWSL, winning the title in 2018.
