On the eve of the Final Draw of the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015™, to be held on 6 December 2014 at the Canadian Museum of History in Ottawa, a press conference was organised with FIFA and the National Organising Committee (NOC) of the tournament.

FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke, Chairwoman of the Committee for Women's Football and the FIFA Women's World Cup and member of the FIFA Executive Committee Lydia Nsekera, Chairman of the National Organising Committee and Canadian Soccer Association President Victor Montagliani, head coach of the Canadian women’s national team John Herdman, and captain of the Canadian women's national team Christine Sinclair all participated in the press conference.
