'Live Your Goals' - the FIFA campaign launched at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011™ - has evolved over the past three years into one of FIFA’s most recognised initiatives in women’s football.

Following a positive pilot phase in 2012-2013, FIFA has decided to take the next step and give all member associations the opportunity to benefit from 'Live Your Goals'. The expansion of the programme represents FIFA’s ongoing and long-term support for women’s football development and will help to ensure that the campaign has a worldwide impact.

As a promotional campaign, 'Live Your Goals' comes in a ready-to-use format that any member association can utilise with the aim of attracting more girls to get involved in football and enjoy the positive experiences the game can bring. It is also a platform to showcase female players’ achievements in the 209 members associations and inspire a whole new generation of players hoping to emulate the sparkling careers of the likes of Abby Wambach, Homare Sawa, Marta and Christine Sinclair.

In 2012-2013, four member associations implemented the campaign locally, linking their development activities and overall promotion of women’s football with 'Live Your Goals'. The results were extremely positive during this pilot phase, resulting in an increase in the number of girls participating at grassroots level. Over 6000 girls in total participated in the 'Live Your Goals' festivals organised in Japan, Azerbaijan, Costa Rica and Republic of Ireland.

As of today, each member association now has the possibility to adopt the campaign known for its striking pink branding. Member associations wanting to take advantage of the campaign will need to submit their application by 25 February 2014 and provide a clear vision on the women's football development they want to put in place in the coming years.

Abby Wambach about the campaign:
“Any young women who want to live their goals I would personally tell them to challenge themselves and do something that scares you every single day. Don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t do something. Make your choices and empower yourself to do what you love to do.”
