Germany and Spain have joined France and Sweden in the semi-finals of the Women's UEFA EURO U-19, thereby securing at the same time the last two European tickets for next year's FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, which will be played in Papua New Guinea in October and November 2016.

While France and Sweden already took the two first places in Group A after the second day of competition, everything was still possible in Group B. Germany finished top after beating Spain 1-0 as a result of Rocio Galvez's own goal just before the half-time break, but La Roja managed to secure a second-place finish ahead of Norway and England, who were both eliminated after their goalless draw.

Tournament hosts Israel failed failed to pick up a single point during the competition after a third successive defeat, most recently a 2-1 loss against Denmark. The French won their duel for first place with Sweden, edging the Scandinavians 1-0 and will face Spain in the semi-finals on 24 July, while the Danes will take on the Germans.
