RELIVE: Post-IFAB AGM press conference

A press conference followed the 129th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The IFAB, which took place at the Culloden Hotel in Craigavad, near Northern Ireland’s capital Belfast, on Saturday 28 February.
Topics on the AGM agenda included the possibility of a fourth substitution in extra time, the “triple punishment” (Law 12) of sending off, penalty and suspension, the potential use of electronic performance and tracking systems, and a proposal for greater flexibility in the use of substitutions in grassroots/recreational football.
Taking part in the press conference were Jérôme Valcke (FIFA Secretary General), Jonathan Ford (Chief Executive of the FAW), Patrick Nelson (Chief Executive of the IFA) and Stewart Regan (Chief Executive of the SFA) and Jonathan Hall (Director of Football Services at The FA).
