FIFA President meets UAE dignitaries in Abu Dhabi

FIFA President Gianni Infantino met with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the UAE Football Association.

The promotion and advancement of Emirati football, the game's role in consolidating the values of tolerance and cooperation, as well as the most important challenges and difficulties faced by event and competition organisers in light of the coronavirus pandemic, were among the topics discussed.

The FIFA President also lauded the UAE’s keenness to host events that bring together sports stars, fans and stakeholders from different countries of the world, to discuss ways to develop the sport.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Mohammad bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, Member of the Executive Council, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi.
