A businessman with experience in tourism, sports tourism, television licensing and media, Georgios Koumas was elected president of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) in March 2018, succeeding the late Costakis Koutsokoumnis. Prior to his election as president, Koumas served as the CFA’s deputy president and deputy general secretary, having first joined the member association back in 2005. His interest in football also included a spell as president of his hometown club Enosis Neon Paralimni FC.
