The 2019 CAF Africa U-20 Cup of Nations takes place between 2 and 17 February 2019 in Niger. Senegal, South Africa, Nigeria and Mali qualified for Poland 2019 after advancing to the continental semi-finals.

The 2018 AFC U-19 Championship took place between 18 October and 4 November in Indonesia. The top four finishers - Japan, Korea Republic, Qatar and Saudi Arabia - qualified for Poland 2019.

The 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship took place between 16 and 29 July 2018 in Finland. The top five finishers - Ukraine, France, Italy, Norway and Portugal - qualified for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup to join Poland, who will take part in the tournament as hosts.

The 2018 CONCACAF U-20 Championship took place between 1 and 21 November 2018​ in USA . The USA retained their 2017 title by beating Mexico in the final. Panama and Honduras accompany the two regional power houses to Poland 2019.​

The 2018 OFC U-19 Championship took place between 5 and 18 August 2018 in Tahiti. Champions New Zealand and hosts Tahiti reached the final to qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Poland 2019.

The 2019 South American U-20 Championship took place between 17 January and 10 February 2019 in Chile. Argentina, Ecuador, Uruguay and Colombia secured the top four positions to qualify for Poland 2019.
