U-20 Women's World Cup match tickets go on sale

Match tickets to attend matches at the the first ever FIFA tournament held in PNG are now on sale.

The Local Organising Committee is delighted to offer affordable ticket prices to all domestic and international football fans who wish to attend the biggest sporting event that will ever be broadcast from Papua New Guinea.

The matches will be held at four venues, the Sir John Guise Stadium, the National Football Stadium, PNG Football Stadium and Bava Park with ticket prices ranging from as low as K2 to K50.

LOC chief executive officer, Seamus Marten said the objective is to make the tickets affordable for everybody. “One of our objectives is to fill the stands, so having affordable price options is an opportunity for football fans across the board to come along and watch,” he said.

The public can purchase their tickets at Rapid Fones Waterfront, Rapid Fones Boroko Foodworld, Eurosports Vision City, Okari Haus Boroko and Zero City Supermarket, Lae. The match schedule will also be available at these outlets to assist the ticket buyers.

A big step has been taken with sporting online ticket sales in Papua New Guinea. From 1 to 3 November, the first 48 hours of this public sales period will be exclusively for Visa card holders via FIFA.com/u20womensworldcup and outlet/Eftpos sales. All other cardholders can purchase starting 4 November throughout the tournament.

In addition to individual match tickets, packages are also available for those wanting to watch all 32 matches. The package to watch all 32 matches is K250.

From 13 November to 3 December, Port Moresby will embrace and celebrate the future stars of women’s football from 16 nations in this eighth edition of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016. The tournament will kick off at 4pm when Korea DPR takes on Sweden followed by the host country Papua New Guinea taking on Brazil at 7pm.
