Individual awards for this year's FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup were presented after the final
Spain midfielder Patri Guijarro named player of the tournament and finished as top scorer
England goalkeeper Sandy MacIver named top goalkeeper of the competition
Following the conclusion of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup France 2018, the competition’s awards were presented after the final at the Stade de la Rabine in Vannes, where Japan defeated Spain 3-1 for their first world title in this age category.
As chosen by the tournament’s Technical Study Group (TSG), awards were presented for the player of the tournament (adidas Golden Ball), top goalscorer (adidas Golden Boot), top goalkeeper (adidas Golden Glove), and Fair Play.

A key figure in Spain’s run to the final, the Barcelona midfielder’s influence was immeasurable for La Rojita, as she led by example with her performances, finding the scoresheet on a regular basis.
adidas Silver Ball: Saori Takarada (JPN)
adidas Bronze Ball: Moeka Minami (JPN)
adidas Golden Boot: Patri Guijarro (ESP)
With six goals and three assists, Guijarro edged England’s Georgia Stanway to the award for the tournament’s top goalscorer, despite the adidas Silver Boot winner finding the net six times herself at France 2018.

While her attacking team-mates scored goals at the other end, MacIver produced some key saves for the Young Lionesses during their time in Brittany. This included two stops in a penalty shoot-out win over France that earned England third place at France 2018 - their best finish in this competition.
Fair Play: Japan
Not only did Japan succeed in winning their first U-20 Women’s World Cup title in France, they also claimed the Fair Play award for having received the fewest yellow cards during the tournament.
