Brazil secured top spot in Group D with a convincing 3-0 victory over Norway in Coquimbo on Thursday afternoon.
Goals from Erika, Daiane and Pamela, the last two coming in the final ten minutes, set the Auriverdes on their way, with the Scandinavians exiting the competition.
Brazil's first game six minutes before half time, when Leah ran with the ball down the left wing, cut into the penalty box and delivered the perfect diagonal ball to Erika. The Brazilian skipper made no mistake from close range.
After the break, Pamela spurned a glorious opportunity to double her side's advantage with just the keeper to beat, but in the 80th minute Adriane found substitute Daiane with an inch-perfect pass. The goalkeeper could only parry her first attempt, but she stabbed the loose ball home to make it 2-0.
By this stage, Norway's defence were all at see and three minutes later, Brazil added a third. Karen crossed the ball to Pamela inside the area, she let the ball bounce once, before striking a wonderful half-volley past Ingrid Thorbjornsen to cap a fine performance from the South Americans.
