Peter Dedevbo, Nigeria coach
A goal scored early against any team gives our team confidence and it breaks that of our opponents. We had already played against Korea Republic and I was sure that Korea DPR were not better than them, so I was confident we would win. Now we are in the final and, whoever our opponents will be, we are not afraid of them. I had said to my girls before the tournament that the World Cup really starts at the quarter-finals. Since that stage, my team have improved. And if you want to accomplish great things, it is important to have intelligence in your team and a player who can make the difference like Asisat (Oshoala) did today.

Hwang Yong-Bong, Korea DPR coach
I’m not satisfied with our performance today. We conceded the first goal very early and, as expected, it was very difficult after such a bad start. We were too tense and too excited by playing in a semi-final of a World Cup. My goal before the tournament was to see my team stay until the last day of the tournament. We’ll be there (to play the third-place play-off), we had wanted to play in the final. I didn't expect a bad performance and a loss like this.
