When we started to play in the first half, we were probably too excited by the fact we were playing against USA. I think that’s why we conceded the goal when we did. But then as time went by, our players calmed down and played better. I’m really proud of our goalkeeper Kim Chol-Ok, but what she showed tonight is only the result of long hours of practice.

I’m very proud the way we fought and battled. We lost to a very good North Korean team, who were exceptional in the way they wanted to reach their goal and win this game. Both teams competed in the way a World Cup quarter-final requires. Did we score too early? You can never score too early. We really wanted to score as early as possible and that's what we accomplished in the first ten minutes. But then it’s true that that goal changed the game, and not in a good way for us
