While the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2013 has provided no end of spectacular goals, it is not only the strikes themselves that have been memorable, but also the moments immediately afterwards. As creative and inventive as tomorrow’s stars have been in front of goal, they have proved to be equally imaginative in their ensuing celebrations.

For instance, Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho wheeled away after his effort, rhythmically moving his outstretched arms up and down. “That’s the celebration of my favourite wrestler, Daniel Bryan,” the forward told FIFA.com. “I like watching him on television and think the way he fires up the crowd is great, so I decided to emulate him.” The entire Golden Eaglets side have since adopted the celebration, much to the delight of the fans, who join in the festivities with the players by copying the moves.

Numerous other teams and players have developed their own unique celebrations and choreographies too. From doing somersaults, sending a message via the television cameras or by dancing, there has been no holding back when it comes to expressing their joy at finding the net.
