The penultimate matchday at the South American U-17 Championship saw Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador seal their ticket to October’s FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
The trio opened up an unassailable hold on a top-four berth although Argentina slipped to a 2-1 defeat against rivals Uruguay.
Three-time winners Brazil will be making their 15th World Cup appearance at this level, while Argentina will be doing so for the 13th time. Ecuador, meanwhile, have three previous appearances to their credit.
The final berth will be decided on Sunday with Uruguay just needing a draw against hosts Paraguay in a winner-takes-all meeting.
