Sanou penalty topples European Champions Spain

A Wilfried Sanou penalty in the 40th minute was enough to down European Champions Spain 1-0 and provide Burkina Faso with their first victory in Group C in the FIFA U-17 World Championship Trinidad & Tobago 2001 presented by JVC.

The spot kick was awarded after Spain’s central defender Miguel Flano handled the ball inside the box following a clever bit of work by the African captain, Abdoul Aziz Nikiema.
