  • Entries potentially judged by Bhaichung Bhutia

  • Winners could receive match tickets, merchandise and wildcard entry into Volunteer Programme

During the Official Emblem unveiling of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017, FIFA President Gianni Infantino called India the "passionate giant" of world football. With just five months to go ahead of India’s first FIFA tournament, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) launched the #FootballTakesOver photo contest to uncover thousands of passionate stories of football from all over the country.

This exciting contest will give photography enthusiasts the chance to capture some beautiful moments on the theme of football and share them with the LOC, by emailing them to photocontest@india2017wc.com. Participants are also encouraged to share their entries on their social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) using the official slogan of the tournament as a hashtag: #FootballTakesOver.

The contestants will have the chance to get their entries judged by one of India’s most loved and legendary footballers Bhaichung Bhutia. The rewards for the winners include a chance to win match tickets, India 2017 merchandise and a wildcard entry into the Volunteer Programme of the tournament to be part of the Venue Media Team at one of the host venues. The winning photos will also be shared on the FIFA and All India Football Federation’s social media platforms.

As part of the general terms & conditions the contestants are required to submit only original photographs, without any digital manipulation and water marks.

The FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 will not only unearth some of the best young footballers in the world, but also provide an opportunity to people from all walks of life to showcase and improve their skills through this photo contest and the Volunteer Programme.
