CTS EVENTIM to partner with FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 OC

The Organising Committee (OC) for the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011™ has concluded a cooperative agreement with CTS EVENTIM AG, Europe's leading ticketing agency for concerts, theatre and sporting events, covering all aspects of the ticket sales operation. As is the case for all FIFA competitions, the sales platform for fans all over the world will be the official website,

"Match ticketing is a sensitive and complex area for a World Cup, so we're delighted we'll be able to call upon CTS EVENTIM's expertise. Our previous experience of working together at the 2006 World Cup was outstanding. In terms of ticketing, the FIFA Women's World Cup presents just as much of a challenge as the men's event. Even at this early stage, I can announce we'll again be offering absolutely fan-friendly ticketing procedures for the Women's World Cup 2011," said German FA (DFB) General Secretary Wolfgang Niersbach.

CTS EVENTIM CEO Klaus-Peter Schulenberg commented: "We are extremely pleased, now as in 2006, to be providing ticketing solutions on behalf of the Organising Committee. Our contribution to a highly successful FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 will be a problem-free ticket sales operation."

The first sales phase for FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011 match tickets begins on 29 October 2009. The first sales phase, which ends on 31 January 2010, exclusively features so-called venue series tickets. "We're deliberately starting with a preferential service for people living near the host cities, offering fans from each stadium's home region the chance to secure the best seats at an early stage, thus guaranteeing they'll be able to watch all FIFA Women's World Cup matches at their home stadium live and in person," explained OC President Steffi Jones.

Detailed application procedures will be finalised and published well in advance of the start of sales. Fans who register on the ticketing homepage at will personally receive important advance information.
